What’s New in Sage 50 2015 ?


Sage 50 Accounts has already been a great tool for companies to effectively perform its accounting functions since its release several years ago.

With the new release (Sage 50 Accounts 2015), it has been further improved based on Customer and Sage Business Partner feedback. No software out there can ever be absolutely perfect for everyone but Sage never cease trying to please everyone with their software and for this they should be commended.

 So….what’s new in Sage 50 Accounts 2015 ? 


Sage have  radically changed the look and feel of the Sage 50 Accounts in the new release, enabling you to quickly navigate between ledgers, and easily find the tasks you need. None of the options previously have been removed; just been made easier to access.


Now possible to backup your data automatically and whilst users are still logged in !

If you have multiple companies, then they can all be backed up at the same time.

And… you don’t need to worry about manually running checking your data as the automatic backup checks the data for you.


If you have Customer or Supplier accounts that you no longer use on a regular basis, you can now mark the accounts as Inactive and then easily filter them out from the Customer and Supplier Lists, so that you concentrate on the active accounts.


You can now use one of TWO methods to select accounts. You can either use the existing Sage accounts method of clicking individual records, or you can use a Windows style selection method(ie. use the MS Windows standard of using the CTL and /or Shift buttons whilst clicking with the mouse.


Creating new users, amending their Access Rights and copying from one user to another has now been made much easier.


If you  would rather use keyboard shortcuts than use the mouse, this has now been made easier. To view the shortcuts in the software, hold down the Alt key. To use a shortcut, hold down the Alt key and press the key for the option you require.


Sage 50 Accounts Professional only

Sage 50 Accounts has until now been restricted to 10 concurrent users. This release supports up to 20 people processing at the same time.


If you’re always on the go, there may be times when you’re not in the office, but still need to view your business accounts. In this version of Sage 50 Accounts you can upload your data to the cloud, which you can then access from one other location, such as your home. Your accountant can also connect to your cloud data. This saves time as you no longer need to send them backups of your data. Any changes your or your accountant make to your data in the cloud automatically updates your office based data in real time.

In addition to this, you can also download Sage 50 Accounts Tracker app to a mobile device, allowing up to 25 people to access the cloud data.


All in all, some great new extra features have been added to what was already a great piece of software. Well done to Sage and to the Business Partners and End Users that in part made these changes happen.
